Directions
Follow the 8 simple steps for effective scar treatment and see just how easy it is to gently soften, flatten and fade red, dark or raised scars.
Step 1- Wash your hands before use & gently clean the scar & surrounding skin. Thoroughly dry the area before applying the Silicone Scar Sheet.
Step 2- Peel the lid from the tray and remove the silicone scar sheet.
Step 3- (optional) With a pair of scissors, cut the sheet to the size of the scar allowing a little overlap all the way round. Store the remaining silicone scar sheet in a dry place, like the tray it came in.
Step 4- Remove the blue/white plastic sheet on both sides to reveal the adhesive.
Step 5- Apply adhesive side down to the scarred area without stretching the strip. If your scar is in an awkward position you may wish to use a light bandage or tape to keep the silicone scar sheet in position.
Step 6- The Silicone Scar Sheet should be applied to the scar for 6 hours on the first 2 days of use. The application time should then be increased by 2 hours a day to enable your skin to get used to the sheet. Ideally increase to 18- 24 hours application time a day.
Step 7- Clean the silicone scar sheet once a week by gently rinsing with cold water. Allow it to air-dry in a cool dry and dust-free place.
Step 8- Ensure the silicone scar sheet is thoroughly dry before re-applying. Use surgical tape to keep sheet in place if adhesive has worn off. Each sheet can be used up to 2 weeks.
